(Washington, DC) – The co-chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Pacific Islands Caucus, Congressman Ed Case (D-HI), Congressman Ami Bera (D-CA), Congressman Ted Yoho (R-FL), Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA) and Congressman Don Young (R-AK), have introduced the Boosting Long-term U.S. Engagement in the Pacific, or BLUE Pacific, Act in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Madam Speaker,
I rise today in support of H.R. 7797, the Boosting Long-term U.S. Engagement in the Pacific Act, also known as the BLUE Pacific Act. I am proud to have introduced this bill together with my colleagues Congressmen Ami Bera, Ted Yoho, Brad Sherman and Don Young, as well as other members of our Congressional Pacific Islands Caucus.
(Honolulu, HI) – U.S. Congressman Ed Case (Hawai‘i – District 1) today announced the first-ever formation of the Congressional Pacific Islands Caucus, which he will co-chair along with three high-ranking U.S. House colleagues.
"I have been convinced for some time that our country's and world's future are in the Indo-Pacific, and the islands of the Pacific are a key yet too-often-overlooked part of that region," said Case.
